A committed festival in the heart of Lozère
The Solidarities & Cultures Festival was born in November 2021 on the initiative of the association ALPA – L'un Pour l'Autre, founded and chaired by Sabrina Mokhlis. This unique charity festival in Lozère combines a quality cultural program with a solidarity commitment: each edition donates all its profits to a different charity association. The first edition honored the Ligue contre le Cancer, while the second benefited the Secours Populaire de Lozère.
An ambitious and eclectic program
The festival spans three days in the heart of Mende, mainly at the Théâtre de Mende and the Espace événements Georges Frêche. The program boldly mixes concerts by national artists, theater performances, conferences, and exhibitions, offering the local public a cultural lineup worthy of major stages.
The 2022 edition notably hosted La Caravane Passe and Guts on Friday evening, followed by Electro Deluxe and La Dame (DJ Carie) on Saturday, confirming the festival's ability to attract top-tier artists to this small mountain prefecture. The festival traditionally opens with a parade-show in partnership with local businesses, creating a festive atmosphere from the first evening.
Three days of solidarity festivities
The typical festival program includes several highlights:
- Thursday evening: Opening evening with a parade-show at the Espace événements Georges Frêche, in partnership with Mende shops
- Friday evening: Concert evening at the Théâtre de Mende with two nationally renowned artists or groups
- Saturday: Full day with conferences, theater, and exhibitions during the day, followed by a concert evening at the Théâtre de Mende
The ALPA association: one for the other
The association ALPA – L'un Pour l'Autre carries this project with conviction and energy. Based in Mende, it brings together a team of committed volunteers around a simple ambition: to create a charity festival that combines cultural discovery with generosity. The choice of a different beneficiary association each year raises public awareness of various causes while maximizing the event's solidarity impact.
Tickets are available online on HelloAsso as well as physically at Hyper U Cœur Lozère and the Mende Tourist Office, making it easy for everyone to access tickets.
An unmissable autumn event
Scheduled in autumn, the Solidarities & Cultures Festival brings a breath of culture and conviviality to the Lozère winter season. It contributes to the animation of Mende's city center and the cultural influence of the department, while carrying a strong message of solidarity and sharing. In just a few editions, it has established itself as a highly anticipated event for the people of Mende and Lozère.
