Practical Information
The Venue
Ouroboros Festival takes place at a high-altitude natural site near Neuvéglise-sur-Truyère (15260), in the Cantal region. The exact location is kept private: the official Resident Advisor page lists the site as "TBA," and organizers share the coordinates directly with registered attendees.
Shuttles and Carpooling
For August 10, 2026, the organizers have announced two ways to reach the site: a shuttle departing from Lyon and a dedicated carpooling service via Togetzer ("Carpooling ⊙ Ouroboros 2026"), accessible through the festival's official Linktree. The carpooling service covers trips from September 11 to 14, 2026, including return journeys.
Getting There by Car
From Clermont-Ferrand (approx. 2 hours), take the A75 south and head toward Neuvéglise-sur-Truyère via Saint-Flour. From Aurillac (approx. 1 hour), follow signs for Saint-Flour via the RN122.
Ticketing
Official tickets for the 2026 edition are sold exclusively through Resident Advisor—moving away from Shotgun, which was used for previous editions. Entry is restricted to those 20 years of age and older. The festival has been sold out since July 6, 2026; organizers strongly advise against purchasing tickets through unofficial channels.
On-site
The festival is held outdoors in a natural setting, away from major roads. Be sure to bring appropriate footwear for the terrain and warm clothing, as September nights can get chilly in the Cantal highlands. The capacity is intentionally limited to maintain an intimate atmosphere, and respect for the natural environment is mandatory.
Stay Updated
The festival does not have a website; all announcements (lineup, access, last-minute updates) are shared via their Instagram account @ouroboros.ssss and the associated Linktree.
A sensory festival in the heart of the wild Cantal landscape
Perched atop a hill overlooking the vast, untouched vistas of Cantal, the Ouroboros Festival stands out as a unique experience within the French electronic music scene. Founded in 2022 by a group of music and visual art collectives sharing a common vision, this intimate festival invites attendees to join the circle for a weekend of total immersion in nature and sound.
Origins: a collective, a vision
The Ouroboros—the mythological serpent biting its own tail, a symbol of eternal return and cyclical renewal—gives the festival its name and philosophy. The project was born from the meeting of several collectives, united by a shared desire to develop a percussive musical scene and an immersive sensory universe. The first edition was held in September 2022 in the Cévennes, at Pont-de-Montvert-Sud-Mont-Lozère, before the festival found a permanent home in the Cantal in 2023, discovering in Neuvéglise-sur-Truyère a natural setting worthy of its ambitions.
A sophisticated and cutting-edge lineup
The Ouroboros Festival is a premier destination for fans of broken beats, jungle sounds, and experimental techno. The programming explores the realms of dub, deep techno, drum and bass, ambient, and experimental music, with a distinct preference for emerging artists and unique artistic proposals. The 2025 edition, for instance, brought together Forest Drive West, Carrier, Aes Dana, Tammo Hesselink, Akira Yamagata, Timnah Sciama, Marylou Vardae, Toé, severja, Ario, and Verveine_, blending international talent with discoveries from the underground scene.
An immersive and multisensory experience
Far more than just a music festival, Ouroboros offers a comprehensive sensory program that combines soundscapes with visuals. Light and laser installations, designed by visual artists such as Nicole Gordon (NG Studio), transform the site into a dreamlike world once night falls. The program is further enriched by acoustic music, artistic performances, yoga sessions, creative workshops, and massages, inviting every participant to enjoy a holistic experience where body and mind reconnect with the surrounding nature.
Deep local roots
By settling in the heights of Neuvéglise-sur-Truyère, in the heart of the Cantal department, the Ouroboros Festival has chosen a wild, rural territory far from the beaten path. This location is no coincidence: it reflects the collective's desire to create an event in harmony with its environment, where nature is not merely a backdrop but a fundamental element of the experience. The festival operates as a temporary ecosystem, built on trust between artists, staff, and the land itself, celebrating the end of the summer festival cycle every September in an atmosphere of communion and renewal.
