Tagada Jones' punk, rock and metal event in Vendée
Created in 2017 by the Breton group Tagada Jones, the On n'a Plus 20 Ans festival ignites the Espace René Cassin in Fontenay-le-Comte every spring with three days of punk, rock, and metal concerts. What was intended as a one-off event has become a must-attend gathering for fans of energetic music, bringing together fifteen bands over three evenings in a friendly and electrifying atmosphere. With over 12,000 festival-goers in 2024, the festival stands as a pillar of the alternative music scene in Vendée.
Born in 2017 from the desire of the group Tagada Jones to celebrate their anniversary in grand style, the On n'a Plus 20 Ans festival quickly established itself as one of the major events on the French punk-rock scene. What was meant to be a fleeting party among musician friends has become an annual event eagerly awaited by thousands of fans of amplified music.
Located at the Espace Culturel René Cassin – La Gare, in the heart of Fontenay-le-Comte in Vendée, the festival benefits from an ideal setting combining an indoor concert hall and outdoor spaces. Each edition features fifteen bands spread over three evenings, offering a comprehensive panorama of the French and international punk, rock, metal, ska, and hardcore scenes.
Over the years, the festival has hosted top-tier headliners: Mass Hysteria, Ultra Vomit, Fishbone, La Ruda, Les Wampas, Ludwig von 88, Dagoba, Les Garçons Bouchers, Headcharger, and the Tambours du Bronx. Tagada Jones, true to tradition, performs each year in different configurations, from the classic format to a symphony orchestra.
The spirit of the festival is based on conviviality and sharing. The food trucks prioritize local products and short supply chains, served in compostable packaging. Local beers Mélusine and Tri Martolod, including special Tagada Jones brews, accompany the evenings. Water is provided free of charge at the bars.
Since its creation, the festival has continued to grow. The 2024 edition attracted over 12,000 festival-goers, confirming the enthusiasm for this event that combines raw energy, musical eclecticism, and a festive spirit. Organized by Rage Tour, Tagada Jones' booking agency, the festival benefits from professional organization while retaining the soul of a party among friends.
A camping area is exclusively reserved for festival-goers, located on rue du Gaingalet, a few minutes' walk from the site. Accessible upon presentation of the festival wristband, it allows for extending the experience in a relaxed atmosphere.
The 10th edition of the On n'a Plus 20 Ans festival takes over the Espace René Cassin in Fontenay-le-Comte from April 3-5, 2026, featuring Les Wampas, Tambours du Bronx, Ludwig von 88, Tagada Jones Orchestra, and many more.
For its tenth anniversary, the On n'a Plus 20 Ans festival promises an exceptional anniversary edition from April 3 to 5, 2026, in Fontenay-le-Comte.
This anniversary edition blends French punk legends (Les Wampas, Ludwig von 88), an extraordinary percussive show (Tambours du Bronx), and international discoveries (Moscow Death Brigade, The Rumjacks, Talco). Tagada Jones reinvents itself in an orchestral formation for the occasion.
