Osny and the Château de Grouchy at Christmas

Osny is a town within the Cergy-Pontoise urban community, located near Pontoise and Cergy in the Val-d'Oise region. It is home to the Château de Grouchy, an 18th-century residence surrounded by a wooded park. Every December, this park provides the setting for the town's Christmas Village, blending historical heritage with festive holiday cheer.

The Parc de Grouchy, home to the Christmas Village

The Parc du Château de Grouchy, located on rue William Thornley, hosts the Christmas Village, where around thirty wooden chalets offer artisanal crafts and gourmet specialties along the paths beneath the century-old trees near the château.

Around thirty artisans and producers

The Osny Christmas Village brings together about thirty craftspeople and local producers: handmade jewelry, ceramics and pottery, blown glass items, wood carvings, papier-mâché creations, original paintings and illustrations, as well as gourmet stalls (honey and pollen from local beekeepers, artisanal jams, fine chocolates, gingerbread and Christmas cookies, and local delicacies from the Val-d'Oise region).

A full program of entertainment

The Osny Christmas Village features a paid ice rink within the park, creative workshops for children, face painting sessions, Christmas storytelling, concerts of holiday carols, and a sound and light show projected onto the façade of the château.

Three days of festivities

The Osny Christmas Village runs for three days, from Friday evening to Sunday afternoon. Friday evening kicks off the festivities in an intimate atmosphere. Saturday is the main day, featuring the full program of activities and all chalets in operation. Sunday offers families one last chance to enjoy the park and finish their Christmas shopping.

The town of Osny, part of the Cergy-Pontoise new town, has preserved its heritage character around the Château de Grouchy and its 18th-century town hall, bridging the gap between the historic village and the modern urban landscape.

Practical information

By RER: Take the RER A to the Cergy-Saint-Christophe station. The Parc de Grouchy is a 15-20 minute walk or a short bus ride from the station.

By car: Take the A15, exit at Cergy-Pontoise, then follow the D14. Free parking is available at 14 rue William Thornley.

Free admission to the Christmas Village and most activities. Standard rates apply for the ice rink.
