The world's highest stand-up, suspended at 380 meters in the Vanoise Express
The Paradiski Comedy Club is a unique concept: stand-up shows aboard the legendary Vanoise Express cabins, the cable car connecting Les Arcs to La Plagne, suspended 380 meters above the ground. Inaugurated in February 2026 in partnership with the Métro Comedy Club of Paris, this event transforms the crossings between the two ski areas into intimate stages where seasoned, sometimes bilingual comedians perform punchy five-minute sets. For two weeks, Monday to Friday, skiers with a Paradiski pass can attend these aerial performances between 10 AM and 12 PM, and then between 2 PM and 4 PM.
The Paradiski Comedy Club was born from a bold idea: to transform the cabins of the Vanoise Express, the famous cable car connecting Les Arcs to La Plagne, into performance stages suspended 380 meters above the void. This unprecedented concept, launched in February 2026, offers Paradiski skiers a unique experience: attending five-minute stand-up sets during the crossing between the two massifs, with a dizzying panorama of the valley as a backdrop.
The Paradiski Comedy Club is organized in partnership with the Métro Comedy Club, one of Paris's most renowned stand-up venues. This Parisian club, a true talent incubator for French humor, has selected a lineup of seasoned comedians to perform in this extraordinary setting. The artists, accustomed to small underground venues, find themselves propelled into France's most spectacular cabin, facing a captive audience of skiers—in the literal sense.
The shows take place in the Vanoise Express cabins, creating an unprecedented intimate atmosphere. Each set lasts the duration of the crossing, about five minutes, during which the comedian delivers jokes, anecdotes, and improvisations to a small audience. Some artists perform in French and English, reflecting the international clientele of the ski area. Styles range from social commentary to absurd humor, storytelling, and improvisation.
The Vanoise Express is one of the most spectacular cable cars in the Alps. Its two 200-person cabins connect the summit of Les Arcs (Plan Peisey, 1,682 m) to La Plagne (Montchavin-Les Coches, 1,250 m) by soaring over the Ponturin valley. The crossing, lasting about seven minutes, offers a breathtaking panorama of the Bellecôte massif and the Vanoise peaks. During the Paradiski Comedy Club, this iconic infrastructure becomes the world's highest theater.
The first edition of the Paradiski Comedy Club will take place from February 16 to 27, 2026, Monday to Friday, in the Vanoise Express cabins between Les Arcs and La Plagne. In partnership with the Métro Comedy Club of Paris, eight seasoned comedians will take turns performing five-minute sets suspended 380 meters above the void.
