Artisanal and family Christmas in the Pompey Basin
The Pompey Christmas Market, organized by the Art-Onde association, is a family-friendly and convivial event held annually in late November at the commune's Socio-Cultural Center. With about fifty exhibitors offering local products, Christmas decorations, gift ideas, and local crafts, this event marks the start of the year-end festivities in the Pompey Basin. Admission is free and a festive atmosphere is guaranteed to prepare for Christmas in a friendly way.
Every year in late November, the Art-Onde association organizes the Pompey Christmas Market, a warm and friendly event that kicks off the Christmas festivities in the Pompey Basin. Held at the commune's Socio-Cultural Center, the market brings together local artisans, creators, and producers in a festive and decorated setting.
The market hosts around 50 carefully selected exhibitors, offering a wide variety of products: local crafts (jewelry, pottery, candles, textiles, decorative objects), Lorraine regional products (honey, jams, foie gras, wines, chocolates, gingerbread), artisanal Christmas decorations, and original gift ideas. Each exhibitor is a passionate individual who shares their know-how and creations with visitors.
Beyond the market, the event offers activities for the whole family: creative workshops for children, ambient music, and shows. A refreshment stand and a catering area allow visitors to warm up with mulled wine, soup, or local specialties. The atmosphere is deliberately relaxed and family-oriented, encouraging exchanges and encounters between residents and exhibitors.
Organized by the Art-Onde association, the Pompey Christmas Market is an event driven by volunteers committed to the cultural and associative life of the commune. It demonstrates the dynamism of the associative fabric in the Pompey Basin and helps strengthen social bonds among residents. The Socio-Cultural Center, a daily hub for life and sharing, provides an ideal setting for this convivial event.
