The Porrentruy-Delle Jazz Festival, more simply presented today under the name of Soirée Jazz à Delle (Jazz Evening in Delle), is the major annual jazz event of the Delle Animation association. It is held every year in June at the Halle des 5 Fontaines, a multi-purpose hall in the commune of Delle (90100), in the south of the Territoire de Belfort, just a few kilometers from the Franco-Swiss border and the Jura town of Porrentruy.
A Franco-Swiss cross-border history
The festival was born from a cultural partnership between Delle Animation and jazz partners from Porrentruy, in the Swiss canton of Jura. For several years, the event alternated between France and Switzerland — one year in Delle, the following year in Porrentruy — which earned it its official compound name. Today, the format has narrowed to an annual jazz evening in Delle, but the cross-border spirit remains present in the festival's identity and programming, which regularly welcomes Swiss, Alsatian, and international artists.
Delle Animation, over thirty years serving culture
The festival is organized by the Delle Animation association, founded in 1991 under the 1901 law. An essential cultural actor in the south of the Territoire de Belfort, Delle Animation organizes more than forty events — concerts, conferences, exhibitions, cinema weeks — and notably about ten jazz concerts per year at the Caveau des Remparts, an intimate and historic venue in the town. The annual jazz evening at the Halle des 5 Fontaines is their big summer event.
An evening in three parts, with free admission
The evening's format is now well-established: three concerts follow one another during the evening at the Halle des 5 Fontaines, from 7:30 PM until late into the night, with on-site catering offered by the association between sets. Admission is free, making it a particularly popular and family-friendly event. The program mixes aesthetics — gypsy jazz, swing, New Orleans blues, contemporary jazz, boogie woogie — to offer a panorama of the French and international jazz scene in a convivial atmosphere.
Headliners from Europe and beyond
Over the editions, the Halle des 5 Fontaines has hosted established artists and European revelations: Mike Sanchez (United Kingdom), Wax & Boogie (Spain), Ladyva (Switzerland), Rascal Syndicate, MYA Trio, Mama Shakers or the Eric Theiller New Orleans Band. The programming draws from partner festivals of the European jazz scene — Jazz in Marciac, Fest Jazz, Basel Blues Festival, Arènes de Lunel — to offer an evening of quality that one might not necessarily expect to find for free in a commune of less than 6,000 inhabitants.
Delle Jazz Festival — edition 2026
The Porrentruy-Delle Jazz Festival returns on Saturday, June 13, 2026 at the Halle des 5 Fontaines in Delle (90100) for a jazz evening with free admission. On the program: three cascading concerts — the gypsy jazz of the Herr-Zigeuner trio, the New Orleans folk-jazz of The Yellbows, and the retro swing of The Mama Shakers. Food available on site.
2026 Edition — Saturday, June 13 at the Halle des 5 Fontaines
The Delle Jazz Evening 2026, the annual edition of the Porrentruy-Delle Jazz Festival, will be held on Saturday, June 13, 2026 at the Halle des 5 Fontaines in Delle, in the south of the Territoire de Belfort. As every year, admission is free and food is provided on site by the Delle Animation association.
The evening features three concerts starting at 7:30 PM: the Herr-Zigeuner trio opens the evening with a repertoire blending gypsy jazz, swing, tango, and musette waltzes; the The Yellbows quartet then takes over with original compositions with blues, folk, and New Orleans accents; the Parisians of The Mama Shakers close the evening with retro swing inspired by Tennessee and Memphis. Three different jazz aesthetics, the same warm format, an evening for all audiences.

- 7:30 PM — Herr-Zigeuner · gypsy jazz trio featuring violinist Guillaume Singer, with Pouti Reinhardt and Taissa Lafertin on guitars. A repertoire that ranges from classical music to swing, including tango, musette waltz, gypsy music, and original compositions.
- 8:45 PM — The Yellbows · French quartet with American Southern accents, blending blues, folk, and jazz. Composed of Stephan Notari (vocals, washboard), Matthieu Maigre (trombone), Thibaud Roussel (banjo, guitar), and Alexis Borrely (sousaphone). Festive, funky, and New Orleans spirit.
- 10:30 PM — Mama Shakers · Parisian band formed in 2016 (album Everytime I go back home, album of the week on FIP in 2024). Angela Strandberg (trumpet, washboard, vocals), Hugo Proy (clarinet, vocals), Baptiste Hec (guitar, vocals), William Öhlund (banjo, vocals), and Gabriel Seyer (bass, vocals). New Orleans swing, Tennessee country, and Memphis blues. The group has performed at Jazz in Marciac, Fest Jazz, Basel Blues Festival, Arènes de Lunel.
Food and refreshment stand on site throughout the evening.

By car: Delle is located approximately 30 km south of Belfort via the D419/D463. The commune is directly on the Franco-Swiss border, opposite Boncourt (Switzerland), 10 minutes from Porrentruy. Parking available near the Halle des 5 Fontaines.
By train: TER Belfort-Delle line, Delle station a few minutes' walk from the Halle. Possibility to reach Porrentruy by bus or train via the Swiss border.
