Hip-hop dance and culture festival in Annecy-Seynod
The Printemps du Hip-Hop is a festival dedicated to hip-hop culture in all its dimensions — dance, music, street art, battles, and meetings — organized every May by the Auditorium de Seynod in Annecy. Since 2022, the festival has brought together amateur and professional dancers, musicians, graffiti artists, and enthusiasts around a rich program: choreographic shows, dance battles, concerts, screenings, round tables, and introductory workshops. With over 2,000 spectators and 200 artists per edition, the Printemps du Hip-Hop has established itself as the unmissable event for the hip-hop scene in Haute-Savoie.
Created in 2022 by the Auditorium de Seynod, the Printemps du Hip-Hop celebrates hip-hop culture in all its dimensions every May. For a week, dancers, musicians, graffiti artists, filmmakers, and enthusiasts gather for a dense program mixing choreographic shows, battles, concerts, film screenings, round tables, and introductory workshops open to all ages.
In just a few editions, the festival has built a loyal and enthusiastic audience: over 2,000 spectators and 200 amateur and professional artists participated in the 2024 edition, confirming the Printemps du Hip-Hop as a major event on the hip-hop scene in Haute-Savoie and the Alps.
Dance is at the heart of the festival. The Printemps du Hip-Hop features choreographic shows by renowned professional companies, dance battles — including the special kids' Time 2 Break in 2v2 and Time 2 Battle —, choreographic shows, and hip-hop introductory workshops open to ages 6 and up.
The 2025 edition notably hosted Sandrine Lescourant (aka Mufasa RAW) with her show RAW, Ainhoa Otero with Broken Oil, the Lyon collective La Fougue, and the Compagnie Relevant for a choreographic show and workshops. Music is also present with concerts — Jewel Usain, Grems — and DJ sets.
The festival offers a cinematic program with preview screenings, such as the film Kneecap in 2025. Professional talks and round tables, including the famous « Each One / Teach One », allow dancers to share their experiences and collectively reflect on the challenges of their profession. In 2025, the round table explored the theme « Is it necessary to leave to succeed? », with testimonials from dancers about their professional journeys.
A hip-hop, club, and krump video-dance competition complements the program, showcasing choreographic creation in film format.
The festival is supported by the Auditorium de Seynod, a performance venue in the Seynod delegated commune of Annecy, which develops a program open to urban dances and contemporary music throughout the year. The Auditorium has become a reference point for the region's hip-hop community, regularly hosting resident companies and dance-dedicated events.
