About Rando VTT Haut Berry
The Randonnée Route et VTT des Terres du Haut Berry is a non-competitive cycling event, with no timing or rankings, organized in Saint-Martin-d'Auxigny (Cher) by the Cyclisme en Haut Berry club. The start is located at the Cathy Melain gymnasium, 3 rue des Ruinces. The routes wind through the trails of the Allogny forest and past the apple orchards of the Forêt region, near the hills of Sancerrois.
The event was formerly known as the "randonnée VTT des Terres vives," which ran for seven editions from 2011 to 2017. It adopted its current name in 2018 following the expansion of the local community of communes. The 2020 to 2022 editions were cancelled due to Covid. The organizers saw nearly 300 participants in 2018 and 2019, and 90 on September 22, 2024, as rain discouraged some riders.
