Lignières Horse Races

The Lignières Racecourse, the only racecourse in the Cher department, is a premier sports facility located 45 minutes from Bourges in the Centre-Val de Loire region. Designed by a Berry architect and inaugurated in 2006, it blends perfectly into the landscape of southern Berry.

Each year, the racecourse hosts 8 horse racing meetings from March to November, featuring multidisciplinary events with trotting and flat racing (Cross, Steeple-chase, and Flat). These race days attract equestrian sport enthusiasts and offer an exciting spectacle for the whole family.

The racing calendar spans several months, allowing the public to discover different equestrian disciplines in optimal conditions. The racecourse is part of the Pôle du Cheval et de l'Âne (Horse and Donkey Center), confirming Lignières' equestrian vocation.
