The 3rd edition of the Marathon du Cher will be run on Sunday, October 11, 2026. The program includes three races with simultaneous starts at 9:30 AM along the Canal de Berry: the marathon (42.195 km) starting from Saint-Doulchard, the half-marathon (21.1 km) starting from Mehun-sur-Yèvre, and a 10 km race starting from Foëcy, with a common finish in Vierzon.
2026 Edition
The Marathon du Cher returns on Sunday, October 11, 2026, for its 3rd edition. Three races are available, all with a simultaneous start at 9:30 AM, allowing participants to discover the landscapes of the Canal de Berry between Saint-Doulchard and Vierzon: the marathon (42.195 km), the half-marathon (21.1 km, starting from Mehun-sur-Yèvre), and the 10 km race (starting from Foëcy). The finishes are judged at the Parc des expositions de Vierzon, where runners and their companions can enjoy refreshments, showers, luggage storage, and entertainment.
Registrations, open since January 12, 2026, on the Protiming platform, remain possible until October 1, 2026, limited to 1,000 bibs per race. Bib collection takes place on Saturday, October 10, 2026, at the Centre socio-culturel de Saint-Doulchard.

A Marathon along the Canal de Berry
The Marathon du Cher offers an exceptional 42.195 km course connecting Saint-Doulchard to Vierzon. Runners follow the route of the Canal de Berry through bucolic, historic, and urban landscapes, passing notably through Marmagne, Mehun-sur-Yèvre, and Foëcy before arriving at the Parc des expositions de Vierzon.
An Accessible Course
The terrain is mostly flat, with a very low elevation gain, alternating between canal banks, stabilized paths, and asphalt sections. These conditions make it a fast race accessible to all levels. Marathon participants have a maximum of 6 hours to reach the finish line. Refreshment stations are provided every 5 km.
Three Races on the Program
The event offers three races with simultaneous starts at 9:30 AM: the marathon (42.195 km, starting from Saint-Doulchard), the half-marathon (21.1 km, starting from Mehun-sur-Yèvre), and a 10 km race (starting from Foëcy).
