Déols en Rose
Pink October in Déols: charity walk, concerts, and events all month long
2026
About Déols en Rose
Déols en Rose is the Pink October initiative by the town of Déols, in the Indre department, held in partnership with the League Against Cancer. A launch evening at the abbey cloister kicks off the month, featuring registration for the Pink Walk, an opening ceremony, the start of the semi-nocturnal walk, dance performances, and concerts. Throughout the month, local clubs and associations host their own events, including bingo, tea dances, theater nights, sports workshops, and concerts. Every entry fee, registration, or merchandise purchase serves as a donation, and the Notre-Dame Abbey remains illuminated in pink throughout October.
Déols en Rose — edition 2026
Déols en Rose returns for its 5th edition, hosted by the City of Déols in partnership with the Ligue contre le cancer. The month kicks off on Saturday, October 3rd, at the abbey cloister with the Marche en Rose, a 7 km semi-nocturnal walk followed by a festive musical evening. Throughout the month, around fifteen local associations will host events including lotteries, tea dances, theater, pickleball, climbing, and concerts, while the Notre-Dame abbey is illuminated in pink. Every entry fee, registration, or souvenir purchase is donated to the Ligue contre le cancer.
2026 Edition
The 5th edition of Déols en Rose launches on Saturday, October 3rd, 2026, at the abbey cloister and runs until October 31st. The City of Déols is leading the initiative alongside the Ligue contre le cancer, with about fifteen local associations and clubs contributing their own events.
The opening evening begins at 4:30 PM with registration for the Marche en Rose, accompanied by the FUNK OHDI brass band. The inauguration takes place at 5:00 PM, followed by a warm-up at 5:15 PM. The 7 km semi-nocturnal walk departs from the cloister at 5:30 PM, organized by the Chènevières association and the Lions Club. At 7:00 PM, the festivities continue with choreography, a choir, brass bands, and a concert, alongside gourmet stalls from local associations and health awareness booths.
The rest of the month follows the same principle: every entry, registration, or souvenir equals a donation. The Foulées Déoloises on Sunday, September 27th, kicks off the series, and the donation ceremony will be held on Tuesday, November 3rd, at 7:00 PM in the Council and Wedding Hall.

A month of mobilization against breast cancer
The town of Déols organizes Déols en Rose every year for Pink October in collaboration with the League Against Cancer. The event begins with a launch evening at the Notre-Dame Abbey cloister, followed by a series of activities hosted by local associations and clubs until the end of the month. 2026 marks the 5th edition.
The Pink Walk
The semi-nocturnal walk departs from the abbey cloister in the late afternoon, organized by the Chènevières association. Participation is donation-based: registration includes a donation and a small gift. Children from local sports schools form a guard of honor at the start.
The rest of the month
Bingo, tea dances, theater nights, concerts, sports initiations, and merchandise sales: every local association hosts its own event, all following the same donation-based principle. The Notre-Dame Abbey is lit in pink from October 1st to 31st. The Foulées Déoloises, races organized at the end of September by the Coureurs de fond déolois, donate €1 per registration to the League Against Cancer.
