Jazz à La Sout is a traveling jazz festival held throughout the Creuse department between mid-October and early November. The Jazz à La Sout association, established in 1998, joined forces in 2007 with the Union départementale des sociétés musicales de la Creuse (founded in 1967) to form Musique(s) en Marche, the organization behind the festival. Concerts are hosted in various venues across the department, with each edition featuring a dedicated photography exhibition.

As of August 18, 2026, the 2026 edition has not yet been announced. The "Autumn Program" section on jazzalasout.com still displays the poster and the eight concerts from 2025, and the Musique(s) en Marche HelloAsso page does not have any tickets on sale.
This schedule aligns with the organizer's usual habits: the poster for the 26th edition was released online on August 27, 2024, the brochure for the 27th on September 9, 2025, and the 2025 online ticketing opened on Monday, September 29. The 2026 dates and program are therefore expected between late August and late September on jazzalasout.com, memcmf23.fr, and the association's Facebook page.
The festival is itinerant: concerts are spread over two and a half weeks in venues across several towns in Creuse, rather than at a single location. The 27th edition featured eight ticketed concerts between October 24 and November 9, 2025.

The Jazz à La Sout Autumn Festival in Creuse takes place every year between mid-October and early November. A festival that tours the department
Concerts are held in various performance venues across Creuse, with locations changing from year to year. Past editions have stopped in La Souterraine, Guéret, Bourganeuf, Boussac, Évaux-les-Bains, Mérinchal, and Saint-Vaury. Each edition is accompanied by a photography exhibition produced in collaboration with Creusographie and Photolim87.
Recent editions
The 26th edition ran from October 18 to November 3, 2024, and the 27th edition is scheduled from October 24 to November 9, 2025. The 2020 edition was postponed due to Covid-19 and replaced by three concerts titled "En attendant le 23e Festival" (Waiting for the 23rd Festival) in La Souterraine, Bourganeuf, and Guéret; the 23rd edition took place in 2021.
A second festival in summer
Musique(s) en Marche also organizes a summer festival, separate from the autumn event: a mobile stage called "La Scène en balade" hosts a series of open-air concerts in villages throughout Creuse. The 4th edition will take place from July 18 to 24, 2026, traveling from La Souterraine to Felletin.
