Born in 2003 on the initiative of the Collectif Culture Bar-Bars, a national federation grouping over 500 culture cafés across France, the Festival Culture Bar-Bars has established itself as the second national cultural event after Fête de la Musique. Each year, during the last weekend of November, nearly 70 French cities simultaneously participate in this grand celebration of bars, bistros, concert cafés, and clubs as cultural hubs.
