The unique music festival for children in France
A unique event in France, Rock Ici Mômes transforms the Parc du Château de Sablé-sur-Sarthe into a musical paradise for 3-12 year olds every summer. For a whole day, three stages host the best artists of children's music, street bands, and circus companies. Created in 1982, this historic festival brings together over 10,000 young festival-goers who experience their first budding rock star emotions in an exceptional green setting.
For over forty years, the Parc du Château de Sablé-sur-Sarthe has echoed every summer with the laughter and songs of thousands of children. The Rock Ici Mômes festival, created in 1982, is a unique event in France: a whole day dedicated to music and shows for young audiences, in a green setting on the banks of the Sarthe.
The festival unfolds its program on three simultaneous stages, offering thirteen shows over five consecutive hours. On the main stage, the headliners of children's music – artists like Aldebert, recognized as one of the best singer-songwriters for children – thrill thousands of young spectators. The secondary stages host emerging artists, puppet shows, and interactive performances designed to awaken the musical curiosity of the youngest.
Beyond the concerts, Rock Ici Mômes is a total celebration. Wandering brass bands roam the park's pathways, creating a festive and lively atmosphere. Circus companies offer acrobatic and poetic shows that amaze young and old alike. The entire park transforms into an artistic village where every corner holds a surprise.
Organized by L'Entracte, a designated stage in Sablé-sur-Sarthe, Rock Ici Mômes benefits from recognized expertise and artistic excellence. The rigorous selection of artists guarantees a quality program, mixing established artists and new discoveries. Over the decades, the festival has seen the biggest names in French children's music perform, contributing to making Sablé-sur-Sarthe a national reference for live performance for children.
The Rock Ici Mômes festival returns to the Parc du Château de Sablé-sur-Sarthe in July 2026 for a new edition dedicated to children aged 3 to 12. Program to be announced.
