About Semur Amateur Theatre Festival

Every year, the Théâtre du Rempart in Semur-en-Auxois hosts the Semur Théâtre Amateur Festival, a two-day event showcasing performances by local amateur theatre troupes. Established in 2021, the festival's inaugural edition was sponsored by local director Pierre-Yves Bon. The weekend concludes with an improvisation match, and a refreshment stand is available throughout the performances.

Semur Amateur Theatre Festival — edition 2026

The Semur Théâtre Amateur Festival brings together local amateur theatre troupes at the Théâtre du Rempart. The lineup features a comedy by the Théâtre Universitaire de Dijon, a performance celebrating the works of Boby Lapointe, and an adaptation of Wajdi Mouawad's Incendies by the Conservatoire d'Avallon. The weekend concludes with a lively improvisational theatre match.
