Feminist and inclusive music festival in Lille
The Sorore Festival was born from the desire of students from Sciences Po Lille and the University of Lille to address a finding: women and gender minorities remain largely under-represented in the music industry, whether on stage, behind the scenes, or in festival lineups. Sorore (from the Latin "sister") aims to be a festive and committed response to this inequality.
The festival is distinguished by its program exclusively composed of women and non-binary individuals. This strong artistic line allows for the spotlighting of talented artists often invisible in traditional programming. The musical genres represented are varied:

Emerging from student associative engagement, Sorore Festival embodies a new generation of festivals that combine artistic excellence with societal values. Its location at the Bazaar Saint-So, an alternative cultural venue at Gare Saint-Sauveur, makes it an event in tune with Lille's independent cultural scene.
The Sorore Festival is expected in spring 2026 in Lille. The feminist and inclusive music festival will continue to highlight women and gender minorities on stage, with concerts, conferences, and a creators' market at Bazaar Saint-So.

Bazaar Saint-So is located within Gare Saint-Sauveur, in the heart of Lille. Numerous hotels, youth hostels, and short-term rentals are available in the Lille-Centre and Vieux-Lille districts, within a few minutes' walk.
Bazaar Saint-So has a catering area. The Gare Saint-Sauveur district is also full of restaurants and cafes. Stalls at the creators' market sometimes offer artisanal drinks and snacks.
Sorore Festival is committed to a safe and welcoming space. A code of conduct is displayed at the entrance. Designated contacts are identifiable and available throughout the event to ensure everyone's well-being. Any discriminatory or harassing behavior will result in immediate exclusion.
