More than eighteen years of laughter in the heart of the Angoulême agglomeration

Since its creation in 2006, the Soyaux Fou d'Humour festival has established itself as the major humor event in Charente. Supported by the Association du Festival de l'humour, founded in November 2004 by live performance enthusiasts, the festival brings together thousands of spectators every November to laugh and have fun at the Espace Matisse in Soyaux and in several venues in the Angoulême agglomeration.

A quality program between headliners and young talents

The festival offers a varied program mixing one-man shows, stand-up, comedy theater, comic songs, and visual humor. Each edition spans several weeks, with shows in different towns of GrandAngoulême: Soyaux, Gond-Pontouvre, Ruelle-sur-Touvre, La Couronne, and L'Isle-d'Espagnac. The festival places great importance on discovering new talents through its Soirée des Révélations (Revelations Evening), a true springboard for aspiring comedians.

Strong territorial roots in GrandAngoulême

The festival shines throughout the Angoulême agglomeration, contributing to the cultural animation of GrandAngoulême. The Espace Matisse, a 380-seat venue in Soyaux, remains the emblematic location of the festival, but the shows extend to several neighboring towns, promoting access to culture for all residents of the territory. The 2024 edition marked a historic record with over 2,000 spectators, confirming the growing enthusiasm of the Charente public for this event.

A festival driven by volunteer commitment

The success of Soyaux Fou d'Humour relies on the commitment of over 40 volunteers who work each year on the organization, reception, and logistics of the event. The festival benefits from the support of the City of Soyaux, GrandAngoulême, and numerous private partners, allowing for affordable prices and a quality program.
