Les Gastronomades d'Angoulême

A pioneering gastronomy festival

Les Gastronomades d'Angoulême were born in 1995 and quickly established themselves as one of the most popular gastronomic events in France. A pioneer in its approach, the festival was one of the first to stage chefs, to cross culinary and artistic cultures, to promote short supply chains, and to encourage healthy eating in collective catering. For over thirty years, the Gastronomades have celebrated the Charente terroir and the culinary diversity of Nouvelle-Aquitaine.

A gourmet and friendly program

The Gastronomades program is structured around several highlights: culinary masterclasses led by renowned chefs, demonstrations of culinary techniques, tastings of local products, culinary duels, workshops for children, and a large producers' and artisans' market bringing together over 150 exhibitors. Pineau des Charentes, cognac, and local products are showcased through various events.

Between Espace Carat and the city center

The Gastronomades take place on two main sites: the Espace Carat in L'Isle-d'Espagnac, which hosts the producers' market, masterclasses, and demonstrations, and the city center of Angoulême, where free events are offered. This dual location allows the festival to reach the entire agglomeration and offer diverse experiences to the public.

Posters signed by artists

Each year, the Gastronomades entrust their poster to an artist or illustrator, creating a bridge between gastronomy and artistic creation. For the 2025 edition, it is Nathalie Ferlut, a renowned author and illustrator, who designed the festival's poster, depicting a chef surrounded by dancing figures in a colorful and mischievous universe.
