Tarbes in December: the magic of Christmas at the foot of the Pyrenees
Every year from late November to early January, Tarbes dons its festive attire for Tarbes in December. Organized by the Mairie de Tarbes, this event transforms the city center into a magical universe that delights young and old alike.
A Christmas village in the heart of the city
The Christmas village is set up around Place Jean Jaurès with twelve chalets offering gift ideas, fashion accessories, decorations, and sweet and savory specialties. Four gourmet chalets offer mulled wine, hot chocolate, and other seasonal treats.
An outdoor ice rink
The ice rink set up on Place Jean Jaurès is the event's main attraction. Accessible for €4 per hour, it welcomes beginner and experienced skaters in a festive atmosphere, with a loyalty card offering one free entry for five purchased.
Animations and shows
The program includes musical parades with Pyrenean singers, horse-drawn carriages for magical rides, a carousel, a visit from Santa Claus, light parades, and decorated animated bubbles on Place Verdun with fairytale characters.

Village Opening Hours
Open daily from 10 am to 8 pm (except December 24 and 31: 10 am-6 pm, and December 25 and January 1: 3 pm-7 pm).
Ice Rink
€4 per hour. Loyalty card: 5 entries = 1 free. No reservation required, subject to availability.
Parking
Free parking on December weekends in green and red zones, and in Verdun and Brauhauban car parks from 8 am to 7 pm on December 7-8, 14-15, 21-22, and 28-29.
