Previous editions have been particularly appreciated by visitors from the region.

Teenage Kicks

Teenage Kicks is the international urban art biennale in Rennes, Ille-et-Vilaine (Brittany). Born in 2013 on the initiative of graffiti artists, it has established itself as the benchmark urban art biennale in the Grand Ouest (Great West of France). The event offers exhibitions, live graffiti and painting performances, monumental murals, installations, and guided tours (on foot or by bike) to discover the works scattered throughout the city.

A biennial rhythm (odd-numbered years). Teenage Kicks takes place every two years: documented editions in 2013, 2015, 2017, 2019, 2021, 2023, and 2025. The 7th edition was held from September 11th to November 12th, 2025, in Rennes, Saint-Malo, and Nantes. The next edition of the biennale is expected in 2027. Between editions, the association continues its cultural activities throughout the year (graffiti initiation workshops, mural projects, exhibitions at the Upstairs gallery of Halles en Communs).

Since its creation, Teenage Kicks has brought together 404 artists, including 61 international ones, presented 24 exhibitions, created about fifty mural facades representing over 14,830 m² of works, and attracted more than 78,000 visitors.

An exceptional territory

Located in Ille-et-Vilaine, in the heart of Brittany, the event benefits from a privileged setting. The region is renowned for its remarkable historical heritage, preserved coastal landscapes, and gastronomy: galettes, crêpes, cider, and seafood.
