The biggest electronic music festival in the mountains, in the heart of the French Alps at Alpe d'Huez
Tomorrowland Winter is the winter version of the famous Belgian festival Tomorrowland, held since 2019 in Alpe d'Huez in the French Alps. Every year in March, this unique event brings together over 150 international DJs on eight spectacular stages spread between the ski slopes and the heart of the resort, at altitudes ranging from 1,860 to 3,330 meters. Combining electronic music, winter sports, and mountain gastronomy, the festival offers an immersive week-long experience that attracts tens of thousands of festival-goers from around the world.
Tomorrowland Winter is much more than just an electronic music festival: it's a unique immersive experience that fuses the world's best DJs with the magnificent setting of the French Alps. Since its inception in 2019, this event has established itself as one of the must-attend gatherings on the international electronic scene, attracting tens of thousands of enthusiasts to Alpe d'Huez, in the Isère department, each year.
The concept of Tomorrowland Winter was born from the desire of the organizers of the legendary Tomorrowland in Boom (Belgium), voted the world's best festival by DJ Mag readers, to create a winter version in an exceptional mountain setting. The first edition, titled "The Hymn of the Frozen Lotus", took place from March 13-15, 2019, with 30,000 tickets sold and world-renowned artists such as Martin Garrix, Dimitri Vegas & Like Mike, Armin van Buuren, DJ Snake, Steve Aoki, and Martin Solveig. After an interruption due to the pandemic in 2020 and 2021, the festival returned in full force in 2023 for its third edition.
The festival unfolds across the entire Alpe d'Huez Grand Domaine Ski ski area, offering an exceptional playground between 1,860 and 3,330 meters above sea level. Stages are set up both on the ski slopes and in the heart of the resort, creating a magical atmosphere between snow-capped peaks and starry skies. The Agoralp, located in the center of the resort, is the festival's nerve center.
Tomorrowland Winter features eight stages with distinct musical identities, accessible to both skiers and pedestrians. Among them are the Mainstage (covered since 2025), the CORE stage dedicated to cutting-edge techno and house, the open-air Frozen Lotus on the slopes, the Cage, the Reflection of Love, the Moose Bar, and the Brasa Terrace. The 2026 edition also introduces the Orbyz stage, directly from the Belgian festival.
Each edition brings together over 150 artists representing all facets of electronic music: techno, house, trance, hardstyle, drum & bass, and more. The biggest names on the global scene perform: Amelie Lens, Charlotte de Witte, Armin van Buuren, Nina Kraviz, Dimitri Vegas, Lost Frequencies, Steve Aoki, Afrojack, Alesso, Netsky, Agoria, and many French talents like Space 92, Dombresky, or Oden & Fatzo.
Beyond the music, Tomorrowland Winter offers a true week-long vacation combining skiing, snowboarding, outdoor activities, and mountain gastronomy. Festival-goers enjoy 250 km of slopes during the day before gathering in front of the stages in the evening for sets that continue late into the alpine night.
The sixth edition of Tomorrowland Winter will take place from March 21 to 28, 2026, in Alpe d'Huez. With a new Mainstage and the arrival of the Orbyz stage in France, over 150 artists will perform on eight stages, including Charlotte de Witte, Steve Angello, Dimitri Vegas, Lost Frequencies, Alesso, Afrojack, Nina Kraviz, and French artists Agoria, Space 92, and Dombresky.
Tomorrowland Winter returns to Alpe d'Huez from March 21 to 28, 2026, for its sixth edition. In total, eight stages spread across the slopes and in the heart of the resort will host over 150 international artists.
The 2026 lineup is set to be spectacular with top-tier headliners. Charlotte de Witte, the undisputed queen of techno, will share the stage with Steve Angello (formerly of Swedish House Mafia), Dimitri Vegas, Lost Frequencies, Alok, Netsky, and the legends Agents Of Time and Mind Against. The French scene will be brilliantly represented by Agoria, Space 92, Dombresky, Oden & Fatzo, RONI, Notre Dame, Betical, and Ofenbach, confirming the influence of French Touch on the international stage.
