Un Air de Vacances: Street Arts at Parc Beaumont

Un Air de Vacances is Pau's street arts festival, a free event that transforms the Parc Beaumont and the city center into an open-air stage for three days in mid-August. Organized by the Communauté d'Agglomération Pau Béarn Pyrénées, the festival attracts over 20,000 spectators each year.

Shows, Parades, and Performances

Each year, the festival features about ten companies offering diverse shows: circus, street theater, music, clowning, aerial acrobatics, and hybrid forms. Spectacular parades lead spectators daily from the Place de la Déportation to Parc Beaumont, creating a festive and colorful procession through the city streets.

A Program Accessible to All

The shows are designed to be accessible to all audiences from age 6. The 2025 edition featured 9 companies, 9 shows, 19 performances, and 3 spectacular parades. Among the companies were artists with very different styles: an improbable brigade of half-firefighters, half-gendarmes, acrobats suspended from silks, zany clowns on flying bicycles, aquatic circus performers, and a musical comedy set in a bathroom.

Parc Beaumont, the Festival's Setting

The Parc Beaumont, with its shaded alleys and vast lawns, provides an ideal setting for open-air performances. Shows take place in the late afternoon, offering optimal comfort for the audience and avoiding the heat. Musical interludes by Les Accords Léon punctuate the moments between shows.

A Unifying Summer Event

Since its creation, Un Air de Vacances has become a highlight of the Pau summer, a moment of sharing, curiosity, and wonder for the whole family. The festival embodies the spirit of conviviality and cultural openness that characterizes Pau, a city committed to promoting performing arts and culture for all.
