The LongoVénitienne: when Longwy is adorned with the colors of Venice
Since its first edition in 2019, the Venetian Carnival of Longwy — nicknamed the LongoVénitienne — has established itself as one of the most spectacular events in Meurthe-et-Moselle. For a weekend in May, the city of Longwy, famous for its Vauban fortifications and enamels, transforms into a small Lorraine Venice, welcoming dozens of costumed participants from all over France and Europe.

The Venetian Carnival takes place in the streets of the city center of Longwy (Longwy-Haut and Longwy-Bas), 54400 Longwy.
Access
By car: Longwy is located in the far north of Meurthe-et-Moselle, on the border of Luxembourg and Belgium. Accessible via the A30 motorway (Longwy exit). Free parking in town.
By train: Longwy station, served by TER trains from Metz (approx. 1h) and Luxembourg (30 min).
From Luxembourg: Longwy is about 30 minutes from Luxembourg City.
