The Verdun National Fair, the premier public event in the Meuse
For over forty years, the Verdun National Fair has been the major event in the Meuse department. Every September, the Pré l’Évêque leisure park in Verdun hosts 450 exhibitors and nearly 45,000 visitors over five days. The event is accredited as a "Foires de France" fair, affiliated with the FNCOF and UNIMEV, and its attendance figures are audited and certified by the Office de Justification des Statistiques. It is the largest fair in the Lorraine region in terms of exhibitor numbers.
An exceptional agricultural and livestock area
Spanning nearly 12,000 m², the Livestock Area is one of the fair's highlights: farm animals, livestock sectors, and direct meetings with Meuse farmers, who engage with the public on animal welfare, product quality, generational renewal, and the future of their farms.
It is complemented by the Agricultural Machinery Area, nearly 5,000 m² where manufacturers, dealers, and suppliers showcase precision agriculture, connected equipment, and digital solutions for the sector.
Exhibition halls
The commercial hall in the Michel Vannier room offers 5,000 m² of covered space where visitors can discover a wide range of offerings: home and interior design, automotive, crafts and artisan trades, decoration, new technologies, gastronomy, and local products.
The Thematic Area, designed and hosted by the Meuse Departmental Council, offers annual exhibitions, activities, and meetings centered on a subject dedicated to the Meuse territory: culture, heritage, nature, innovation, or major projects.
Leisure, funfair, and entertainment
- Green Leisure Area — 3,000 m² dedicated to nature and outdoor activities, featuring the Ferme du Vallon with its horses and ponies, and the Team CDG, which offers demonstrations and fishing initiations.
- Funfair Area — 1,800 m² of rides, attractions, and game stalls in the friendly atmosphere of a traditional fair. This is also where children can meet mascots, from PAW Patrol to Star Wars characters.
- Entertainment Stage — hosted in partnership with Meuse FM radio, it features concerts, shows, demonstrations, and celebrity meet-and-greets throughout the fair. Notable past performers include Kyo, Shy’m, and Gilbert Montagné.
- Meuse FM Studio — live broadcasts, exhibitor interviews, and an open stage for local artists, bands, dance schools, and cultural associations.
Themed evenings
The Reception Hall hosts two highly anticipated events: the Dinner Dance evening, hosted by an orchestra, and the Cabaret Dinner evening, which combines a meal with a show featuring artistic acts and choreography. Both must be booked in advance through Verdun Expo Meuse.
Verdun Expo Meuse
The fair is organized by the Verdun Expo Meuse association, headquartered at Espace Doumenc in Thierville-sur-Meuse, which also organizes the Verdun Christmas Village and offers event equipment rentals.
