The autumn wine tourism event on the Alsace Wine Route
Vignobles en Scène — Alsace is the national wine tourism event that celebrates the Alsace Wine Route every autumn. For three days around the third weekend of October, professionals with the "Vignobles & Découvertes" label open their doors for tasting, creative, and immersive experiences: grand winegrower banquets in exceptional locations, concerts and shows in the heart of the estates, sensory walks through the vineyards. From Thann to Marlenheim, the Alsatian vineyards transform into an open-air stage.
Vignobles en Scène, formerly known as "Fascinant Week-End Vignobles & Découvertes", is a national event created to highlight the Vignobles & Découvertes labeled wine tourism destinations. In Alsace, it unfolds along the entire Wine Route, from north to south, on the third weekend of October. Nearly 600 events are offered across ten French wine regions, and Alsace holds a prime position thanks to the richness of its vineyards and heritage.
The program is structured around three main categories of experiences. Tasting experiences include guided tastings, food and wine pairings imagined by chefs and winegrowers, and grand banquets organized in remarkable locations—historic cellars, castles, wine estates. Creative experiences combine intimate concerts, live performances, exhibitions, and cultural happenings right in the heart of the wine estates. Finally, immersive experiences offer sensory walks through the vineyards, hikes through the Grands Crus, segway tours, and outdoor sports activities.
From Thann in the south to Marlenheim in the north, the Alsace Wine Route offers an exceptional setting for this event. The wine villages—Kaysersberg, Riquewihr, Eguisheim, Ribeauvillé, Turckheim—become the stages of a unique festival where terroir meets culture. In the Kaysersberg valley, for example, visitors can participate in a cellar treasure hunt to solve a delicious mystery, or enjoy a "Wine & Music" evening combining an intimate concert and tasting at a passionate winegrower's estate.
Vignobles en Scène is aimed at all audiences: discerning wine lovers, families looking for original activities, tourists curious to discover Alsace in a different way. Many activities are free or low-cost, and the full program can be consulted online on the Alsace Wine Route website. The event embodies a modern vision of wine tourism, where sensory experience and human connection take precedence over simple tasting.
