The voice festival in Joinville
Created in 2022 by the Vall'Art association, the VoixSi VoixLa festival is a highlight around vocal practice in Joinville, Haute-Marne. For three days in April, it offers an itinerary mixing tourism and music, punctuated by concerts, open stages for choirs, and participatory workshops in various heritage sites of the town. The festival brings together professional artists and amateur choirs in a friendly atmosphere, celebrating the voice in all its forms.
Born in 2022, the VoixSi VoixLa festival is an annual event dedicated to vocal practice in the town of Joinville, in the heart of Haute-Marne. Supported by the Vall'Art association, founded in 2003 to promote choral singing in rural areas, this festival offers an original journey over three days, combining concerts, open stages, and participatory workshops in several emblematic locations of the town.
The Vall'Art association has been working since 2003 to make choral singing accessible to everyone in a rural territory. It runs a children's and teenagers' choir directed by Catherine Millot, organizes singing workshops open to all levels, and musical weekends. The VoixSi VoixLa festival is the natural culmination of this commitment: a unifying event that brings together professionals and amateurs around the voice.
The festival's concerts and workshops take place in several remarkable locations in Joinville: the Salle des fêtes Raymond Hanin, the Church of Joinville, the Espace Marcand, the Auditoire, and the Château du Grand-Jardin. This musical itinerary through the town allows visitors to discover Joinville's heritage while enjoying the performances.
Each edition of the festival is structured around three pillars:
The festival benefits from the support of the City of Joinville, the Department of Haute-Marne, the Arts Vivants 52 network, and local businesses. It is part of a dynamic of cultural enhancement of the northern Haute-Marne territory.
