West Fest: The Showcase for Lyonnais Talents

The West Fest — 100% Lyonnaise Artists is a festival created by the Théâtre à l'Ouest, a performance venue inaugurated in May 2022 in the heart of the OL Vallée leisure complex in Décines-Charpieu. This festival makes it a point of honor to exclusively program artists from the Lyon scene, offering a privileged showcase for the talents of comedians, actors, and musicians from the metropolitan area.

A Modern Theater in the Heart of OL Vallée

In just a few years, Théâtre à l'Ouest has established itself as one of the essential cultural venues in eastern Lyon. Located at the foot of the Groupama Stadium, it has two independent spaces: an amphitheater with 384 seats and a cozy space with 90 seats. This dual configuration allows West Fest to offer varied formats, from comedy shows in the theater to more intimate musical showcases.

Comedy at the Heart of the Festival

West Fest gives pride of place to comedy and stand-up, reflecting a particularly dynamic Lyon scene in this area. Many comedians from Lyon, now recognized nationally, took their first steps on the metropolitan stages. The OL Vallée complex, which hosts the festival, is easily accessible by public transport and has large free parking lots. This strategic location allows it to reach a wide audience, beyond just the city center of Lyon, and contributes to the decentralization of the metropolitan cultural offerings.
