Festival Format
The festival is organized by the town of Woippy and its Green Spaces department at the Salle Saint-Exupéry, Place Debs. The inaugural edition took place in 2001. Admission is free.
2025 Edition Highlights
The 23rd edition was held from Monday, October 13th to Sunday, October 19th, 2025, with Italy as the theme. It was open daily from 9:00 AM to 6:00 PM, featuring over 300 species displayed across 1,200 m². The program included exhibitions, lectures, film screenings, workshops, children's drawing contests, and a musical performance. Free two-hour guided tours were available by reservation for schools, associations, and retirement homes by calling 03 87 30 70 25 or 06 15 30 87 74.

The Salle Saint-Exupéry is located on Place Debs, in the center of Woippy.

A municipal festival dedicated to nature
The first edition of the Ecology and Nature Festival took place in 2001. Since then, the City of Woippy and its Green Spaces department have organized a week of events every year at the Salle Saint-Exupéry, located on Place Debs, focusing on biodiversity and environmental protection. Admission is free.
A featured country
Each edition centers on a specific theme: Japan in 2023, and Italy in 2025 under the banner of "Dolce Vita." The sets are created by municipal staff, who spend over a week transforming the venue. In 2025, more than 300 species will be showcased across 1,200 m².
Exhibitions, lectures, and screenings
The program includes exhibitions, lectures, video screenings, workshops, and performances. Highlights for 2025 include an exhibition on the Moselle Sud Biosphere Reserve, recognized by UNESCO in 2021, the Biodiversity Pavilion from the La Cour d'Or museum, a beekeeping area with an educational hive, freshwater and saltwater aquariums, and presentations on reptiles by herpetologist Ludovic Faure and on butterflies.
For children and schools
A drawing contest is open to children aged 4 to 10, as well as kindergarten and primary school classes, with prizes awarded on the final day of the festival. Free two-hour guided tours led by professionals are available by reservation for schools, middle and high schools, extracurricular groups, associations, retirement homes, and medical centers.
