An associative section also highlights collectives involved in urban cultures.

Yardland: The Festival of New Cultures in Paris

Launched in 2024 by the Yard collective—a leading media outlet and community for popular and urban culture in France—in co-production with the We Love Green festival team, Yardland immediately established itself as a major event on the Parisian festival calendar. Its first edition, held on July 6th and 7th, 2024, at the Hippodrome Paris-Vincennes, brought together 40,000 festival-goers, 55 artists, over 1,300 staff and volunteers, and around a hundred associated creators and entrepreneurs.

Set on the exceptional grounds of the Hippodrome Paris-Vincennes in the 12th arrondissement, Yardland offers a three-day ambitious program that goes far beyond just music. The festival defines itself as a 360-degree experience built around six founding pillars: music, lifestyle, art, community, food, and sport.

A Musical Program at the Crossroads of Genres

Yardland's lineup reflects the richness and diversity of contemporary popular culture. Rap, R&B, afrobeats, dancehall, electro, amapiano, and soul: the festival embraces all the musical currents that shape the soundtrack of new generations. Across several stages, international headliners perform alongside emerging talents from both the French and international scenes.

The festival brings together established artists and new discoveries, providing a unique showcase for creators who push the boundaries between musical genres. This demanding and curated program is crafted by the Yard editorial team, known for their expertise in urban culture.

Beyond Music: A Total Cultural Experience

Yardland is not just about music. The festival features a lifestyle village bringing together brands and creators who shape streetwear and urban fashion, as well as a giant marketplace dedicated to young designers. Art installations related to popular culture dot the festival grounds, while a dedicated sports area offers courts, tournaments, and demonstrations. Talks and an association village round out the experience.

Gastronomy and Lifestyle

Yardland's food selection celebrates the culinary diversity of urban cultures, with a variety of food trucks and stands representing global cuisines. Community spaces encourage meeting and exchange, in the spirit of sharing that has defined the Yard collective since its inception.

A Festival Rooted in Its Time

By creating Yardland, the Yard collective fills a gap in the French festival landscape: that of a major event dedicated to contemporary popular and urban cultures, at their intersection with fashion, art, and sport. The organizers present it as an "experimental community prototype, built by and for enthusiasts." The event is aimed at a generation that no longer separates music from lifestyle, and who seek a complete and immersive cultural experience in a festival.
