The campervan and nomadic travel show, launched in 2025 in Mulhouse
There is no edition scheduled in 2026 for this event. This page remains accessible to archive the history of the manifestation and will be updated if a new edition is announced.
ℹ️ No 2026 edition has been confirmed to date by the organizer, Eventail Productions. The date and location previously announced for early July 2026 in Mulhouse were incorrect and have been removed. The following presentation describes the inaugural edition, held from July 4 to 6, 2025.
Born in 2025 from the shared passion of the Salons Made in Alsace team and the travel couple Les Manalas, the Alsace Vanlife Festival is the first major event dedicated to nomadic travel in northeastern France. For its inaugural edition, it set up camp at the Autodrome of the Musée National de l'Automobile in Mulhouse—an iconic setting for a festival dedicated to vehicles—bringing together a community of vanlifers, motorhome owners, and travelers seeking freedom and adventure on the road.
The heart of the festival is its campervan exhibition: vans, campervans, motorhomes, converted buses, and expedition trucks turned into rolling homes. Visitors can step inside, explore the interior layouts, and chat with owners about their technical choices and travel stories. A vanlifer village provides a space to share routes and practical tips, while specialized exhibitors showcase the latest innovations in nomadic gear: solar panels, batteries, water solutions, modular furniture, and outdoor accessories.
The Alsace Vanlife Festival is more than just a vehicle show. A series of talks gives the floor to travelers sharing their adventures from around the world. Practical workshops—covering basketry, fire-starting, and Swiss Army knife skills—introduce participants to the know-how of nomadic life. Quizzes, interactive games, and giant wooden games round out the activities, while vehicle conversion and rental professionals are on hand to offer advice.
The food truck area offers a culinary world tour in the spirit of travel cherished by the vanlife community. In the evening, live concerts turn the Autodrome into an open-air music venue. A bivouac area, set up in partnership with Roadsurfer Spot, allows visitors to park their van or motorhome on-site to experience the event as true nomads.
The choice of the Autodrome of the Musée National de l'Automobile was no coincidence: this track, adjacent to the world's largest car collection—the Collection Schlumpf—offers a vast space perfectly suited for both vehicles and festival-goers. Museum ticket holders enjoyed free access to the festival, creating a bridge between automotive heritage and contemporary road-trip culture.
2026 edition not confirmed. The "second edition" that was briefly announced for early July 2026 at the Autodrome de Mulhouse was incorrect. At the request of the organizer (Eventail Productions), we have removed it: no 2026 edition is planned for that date or location. We will update this listing as soon as a new edition is officially announced.
The festival takes place at the Autodrome of the National Automobile Museum of Mulhouse.
