2026 Edition
The OMSAP Lutterbach is hosting the Beer Festival from Friday, September 18th to Sunday, September 20th, 2026, at the Place du Platane, with support from the town of Lutterbach. The format remains true to previous years: a wide selection of beers, Alsatian specialties—especially tartes flambées—and a unique musical lineup each day.
Both Friday and Saturday evening events kick off at 7:00 PM. Friday launches the festivities with Dr Boost and Nico, while Saturday features a DJ set by the Alsatian duo Elsass Brothers. Sunday begins at 12:00 PM with a more traditional Oktoberfest vibe, featuring the Volksmusik band Orig. Willerthaler—dirndls and lederhosen are highly encouraged.
Admission is the same price for all three days: €12 for adults, which includes a 30 cl collector's beer mug and a 30 cl drink, and €8 for those under 18, which includes a soft drink. Tickets can be purchased online via HelloAsso or at local Lutterbach outlets, including Boucherie Degert and Brasserie de Lutterbach. Tickets are non-refundable and non-exchangeable.

Lutterbach and beer: a centuries-old history
The Lutterbach Beer Festival is part of a long local brewing tradition. According to legend, it was in 1648 that monks from the Lucelle abbey established the first monastic-style brewery on land owned by the abbey in Lutterbach. This tradition has endured over the centuries, making the commune a natural breeding ground for celebrating the art of brewing. Organized by OMSAP Lutterbach (Municipal Office for Sports, Arts, and Promotion), the festival perpetuates this heritage by highlighting Alsatian craft beers in a warm and family-friendly atmosphere.
Three days of festivities on the Place du Platane
Every third weekend in September, the Beer Festival takes over the Place du Platane, in the heart of Lutterbach. For three days—from Friday evening to Sunday afternoon—the square transforms into a vast open-air festival hall where tables and benches welcome hundreds of guests to toast and share a moment of conviviality. The atmosphere is festive: lanterns, garlands, and themed decorations create a festive ambiance worthy of the best Bierfeste across the Rhine.
Craft beers and Alsatian gastronomy
On the menu of the Beer Festival: carefully selected craft beers, served in a collector's mug given with each entry. For gastronomy, traditional tarte flambée are served on Friday and Saturday evenings. On Sunday, a festive meal offers a choice of a delicious royal choucroute or bouchées à la reine with spätzle, followed by an iced kougelhopf and coffee—a true Alsatian feast served at your table.
Live music and a lively atmosphere
Live music is at the heart of the event. Each evening features a varied musical program that makes the Place du Platane vibrate until midnight. DJ Dany provides the musical ambiance with festive and danceable sets, while guest artists add an international touch: the 2025 edition notably featured Austrian singer Christian Torchiani, former member of the Tyrolean group Klostertaler, for a show blending Alpine folk music and European variety.
A popular event that sells out
The success of the Lutterbach Beer Festival is undeniable: Saturday evenings regularly sell out, prompting organizers to recommend advance booking. The event attracts a wide audience, from families on Sunday lunchtime to groups of friends coming to party on Friday and Saturday nights. Online ticketing on HelloAsso and at the Lutterbach town hall ticket office allows you to book your tickets in advance to avoid missing this unmissable autumn event in the Mulhouse area.
