About Oktober'FAV
The Alsatian Oktoberfest
Launched in 2024 by Colmar Expo, the Oktober'FAV was born from the desire to revive the legendary Colmar Sauerkraut Days, a gastronomic event that animated the city more than seventy years ago. Inspired by the great Bavarian beer festivals while proudly asserting its Alsatian identity, Oktober'FAV offers a unique festive experience that combines gastronomy, craft beer, and an unbridled musical atmosphere within the Colmar Exhibition Center.
A monumental party hall
Hall 3 of the Exhibition Center is completely transformed for the occasion: long wooden tables, decorations in Alsatian colors, hop garlands, and a giant Bierstube atmosphere. Guests sit side by side in a spirit of typically Alsatian conviviality. The hall's capacity allows it to welcome several hundred participants who share meals, toast, and dance together in a warm and friendly atmosphere.
The royal sauerkraut and Alsatian beers
The Oktober'FAV menu celebrates the best of Alsatian gastronomy. The meal begins with a charcuterie board as an appetizer, followed by the main dish: a generous royal sauerkraut garnished with sausages, bacon, hock, and smoked meats, prepared according to tradition. An iced vacherin and coffee conclude the feast. As for drinks, craft beers from Brasserie Météor, a historical partner, flow freely, while Alsatian wines from Bestheim offer a quality oenological alternative.
Folk music and festive atmosphere
Musical entertainment is at the heart of Oktober'FAV. The Willerthaller open each evening with a repertoire that fuses Alsatian folklore, rock, and contemporary sounds. A German band accustomed to large beer festivals takes over in the second part of the evening with an energetic show mixing Bavarian music and festive hits. Finally, DJ Fabrizio extends the party until 1 AM with dancing sets that transform the hall into a giant dance floor.
An event rooted in Alsatian tradition
Oktober'FAV does not merely imitate the Munich Beer Festival: it asserts a deeply Alsatian identity. Alsatian sauerkraut, locally brewed beers, wines from the neighboring vineyard, and regional folk music make this event an authentic celebration of the Haut-Rhin region, centered around convivial Friday and Saturday evening gatherings.
Oktober'FAV — edition 2026
The 3rd edition of Oktober'FAV will take place on Friday, October 16 and Saturday, October 17, 2026 at Hall 3 of the Colmar Exhibition Center, from 6:30 PM to 1 AM. Two festive evenings centered around royal Alsatian sauerkraut, craft beers, regional wines, and a musical program blending Alsatian folklore and German beer festival traditions.
3rd Edition of Oktober'FAV — October 16 and 17, 2026
For its third edition, Oktober'FAV takes over Hall 3 of the Colmar Exhibition Center on Friday, October 16 and Saturday, October 17, 2026, from 6:30 PM to 1 AM. The concept remains unchanged: royal Alsatian sauerkraut accompanied by craft beers, wines from the regional vineyard, and a festive, popular, and folkloric musical atmosphere, in a hall decorated in the spirit of German beer festivals.
In 2026, the event focuses on the two evenings of Friday and Saturday (there is no Sunday lunchtime session this year). Reservations are made exclusively online at oktober-fav.fr; Saturday evening regularly sells out, so it is advisable to book as soon as ticket sales open.

Friday, October 16 and Saturday, October 17, 2026
Doors open at 6:30 PM, service ends at 0:45 AM, and closing at 1 AM. Table service with numbered seating and access to the dance floor.
- 6:30 PM — 9:00 PM · Les Willerthaller — an orchestra that fuses Alsatian folk influences with rock and contemporary sounds.
- 9:00 PM — 11:30 PM · RockTracht — a five-piece Bavarian band, regulars at Oktoberfest in Munich and Cannstatter Wasen in Stuttgart, for an energetic folk-rock show.
- 11:30 PM — 1:00 AM · DJ Fabrizio — a DJ from Colmar who keeps the party going until closing.

Practical tips
Book several weeks in advance, especially for Saturday evening, which sells out very quickly. Prefer public transport or a designated driver; a home return service (Izydrive) is also offered.
