About Amies Voix
Amies Voix is the storytelling festival organized by the Loir-et-Cher Departmental Media Library. It has no fixed venue: from late September to late October, sessions are held in libraries across the departmental network and in local community halls they reserve throughout the region. The 25th edition, running from September 26 to October 23, 2025, will visit over 30 libraries. Admission is free, with reservations required through the host venue.
Our team has not been able to confirm with an official source that this 2026 edition is taking place. The dates and program shown below may be outdated. We strongly recommend that you contact the organizer directly to verify before any travel or registration.

A county-wide storytelling festival
Amies Voix is spearheaded by the Loir-et-Cher Departmental Media Library, the department council service that supports a network of 122 libraries. The festival does not have a single home: every autumn, libraries in the network take turns hosting professional storytellers. In 2025, the 25th edition runs from September 26 to October 23 across more than 30 libraries; in 2016, the 16th edition ran from September 23 to October 26, reaching nearly 40 libraries.
Guest artistic direction
The program is curated by an artistic director that changes with each edition. Les Singuliers, featuring André Schann and Karine Lenoir, are behind the 2025 lineup; Frida Morrone (Astolfo Sulla Luna company) and Maud Thullier (Musique au Conte) curated the 2016 edition, themed "Couleurs de rêves" (Colors of Dreams). The festival features both traditional tales and original creations, stories from Venezuela, Africa, or Algeria, and storytelling concerts where music accompanies the narrative.
Where the sessions take place
While the library organizes the event, it doesn't always host it on-site: many sessions are held in the town's village hall, community center, or local social hall. In 2025, the 25 sessions will visit Saint-Julien-de-Chédon, La Chapelle-Vendômoise, Bracieux, Selommes, Candé-sur-Beuvron, Saint-Sulpice-de-Pommeray, Danzé, Châteauvieux, Huisseau-sur-Cosson, Châtres-sur-Cher, Dhuizon, Josnes, Saint-Viâtre, Villefranche-sur-Cher, La Ferté-Saint-Cyr, Fresnes, Vouzon, Vineuil, Saint-Laurent-Nouan, Saint-Ouen, Salbris, Lamotte-Beuvron, Fréteval, Chailles, and Mondoubleau. The list of towns changes from one edition to the next: please check the town and venue in the program before heading out.
The festival's "OFF" program
Alongside the main performances, the network's libraries organize their own events until the end of October, including workshops, exhibitions, and games, all featured under the "OFF du festival" banner.
