The Apple Festival is held every year on the first Sunday of October in Laignes, a town in the Châtillonnais region, north of Côte-d'Or. Organized since 2007 in partnership by the Amicale des Aînés and the Club Animation de Laignes, this gastronomic event celebrates an emblematic fruit of the Burgundian terroir and the rural traditions that accompany it.
From orchard to glass: live pressing
The highlight of the Apple Festival is the live production of apple juice, from grinding to pressing. Visitors witness all stages of the transformation and can taste and buy apple juice with no added sugar or additives, pure and natural. In parallel, the making of black pudding using traditional methods attracts lovers of artisanal charcuterie, perpetuating ancient know-how.
Producers' market and activities
A market of local producers and craftspeople accompanies the day, offering honey, jams, cheeses, seasonal vegetables, and artisanal creations. Workshops and activities for children complete the program, making the Apple Festival a popular family event throughout the Châtillonnais, the Côte-d'Or department, and the neighboring departments of Yonne and Aube.

17th edition of the Apple Festival in Laignes, on Sunday, October 4, 2026, from 10 am to 5 pm. A gastronomic and friendly day centered around apple crushing and pressing, with tasting of natural juice without added sugar, black pudding making, a market of producers and artisans from Châtillonnais, and entertainment for the whole family.
The Apple Festival returns for its 17th edition on Sunday, October 4, 2026, from 10 am to 5 pm, at Place Victor Gât in Laignes, in Côte-d'Or. Organized by the Amicale des Aînés and the Club Animation de Laignes, in partnership with the Laignes town hall and the Communauté de communes du Pays Châtillonnais, this day celebrates the apple and the rural traditions of the Burgundy region.
The highlight of the festival remains the live apple crushing and pressing: visitors witness all stages of the transformation and leave with pure and natural apple juice, with no added sugar or additives. Organizer's tip: remember to bring your empty 1.5 L bottles to get a €0.50 discount per bottle when purchasing juice.
Also on the program: traditional black pudding making, a producers' market (honey, jams, cheeses, seasonal vegetables), a market of local artisans and creators, as well as workshops and entertainment for children and families.
