The Ardentes Poultry Fair is a centuries-old agricultural tradition that takes place every May 21st in this commune in the Indre department, a few kilometers south of Châteauroux. Ardentes is a commune in the Indre department, located about ten kilometers south of Châteauroux, on the road to La Châtre. The town hosts a monthly market on the third Thursday of the month throughout the year, as well as other specialized fairs: a horse fair on September 1st and another on November 9th. The May 21st Poultry Fair is the most emblematic of these traditional commercial events.
