The association Magie à l'hôpital is at the core of the Au Tours du Rire project. Founded to bring joy and magic to hospitalized children, it organizes this festival as its flagship fundraising event. Each edition helps fund an increasing number of children's dreams: the 7th edition (2025) aims to fulfill 30 children's dreams. This charitable dimension gives the festival a special soul, where the audience laughs knowing that their ticket directly contributes to a noble cause.
The Grand Théâtre de Tours, also known as the Opéra de Tours, provides a sumptuous setting for the festival. This historic venue in the center of Tours, with its remarkable architecture, hosts top-tier artists. Among the comedians and artists who have performed in various editions are: Anne Roumanoff, Laurent Baffie, Thomas VDB, Tony Saint Laurent, Sandrine Alexi (host), Les Décaféinés, the twins Steeven et Christopher, Le Cas Pucine (ventriloquist, winner of La France a un Incroyable Talent 2019), Alexandra Duvivier (magician, Mandrake d'or), and Markobi (world magic champion).
Each edition of Au Tours du Rire is hosted by a renowned presenter and offers a varied program combining humor, magic, and surprises. The atmosphere is both festive and moving, with artists readily participating in this solidarity evening. The goal of this edition is to enable the realization of 30 dreams for hospitalized children.
