Tours sur Loire: The Guinguette That Vibrates the Banks of the Loire

Every year from April to October, the banks of the Loire in Tours are transformed into a vast space of culture, conviviality, and celebration thanks to the Tours sur Loire festival. This multidisciplinary guinguette, supported by the association Le Petit Monde in partnership with the City of Tours, has become a must-attend event in Tours' cultural life, offering a rich and eclectic outdoor program for six months.

Five Sites for a Cultural Season Along the Water

Tours sur Loire unfolds its offerings across five sites located along the banks of the Loire and in the city's neighborhoods:

  • The Main Guinguette (111 rue des Tanneurs): open 7 days a week, it features a bar, a restaurant, and a large stage hosting concerts, shows, and activities throughout the season.
  • Chez Dupont: an intimate space for musical discoveries and artistic encounters.
  • Le Foudre: the guinguette's "rock" bar, dedicated to contemporary music and sonic discoveries.
  • La Plage: a relaxation area by the Loire to enjoy sunny days.
  • Le Bar à Mômes: a space dedicated to families with programming for young audiences, creative workshops, and activities for children.

A Multidisciplinary and Popular Program

The Tours sur Loire season is organized around themes that unfold over several weekends, mixing concerts of all genres (jazz, rock, electro, world music, French chanson), theater and dance performances, open-air cinema screenings, Loire wine tastings, culinary and creative workshops, and the famous "Sunday Boum".

The Peuple de Loire Festival

A highlight of the season, the "Peuple de Loire" festival is an artistic proposal linked to the river and its ecosystem, organized around three long weekends in May, July, and September. This festival within a festival invites artists and residents to explore the relationship between the river, nature, and the city through multidisciplinary creations.

A Place for Life and Social Connection

Beyond its cultural program, Tours sur Loire is a true popular gathering place. The guinguette brings together diverse audiences: families with children at the Bar à Mômes, music lovers at Le Foudre, Sunday strollers, passing visitors, and loyal residents of Tours. Access to the site is free, with most concerts and activities being free to access, in line with the popular and accessible vocation of this event.

Tours sur Loire also contributes to the animation of the city's neighborhoods through events in the "quartiers en mouvement" (Sanitas, Maryse Bastié, place de la Tranchée), bringing culture and conviviality closer to the residents.

Tours sur Loire — edition 2026

The 2026 season of Tours sur Loire is expected from May to September on the banks of the Loire in Tours, with the reopening of the five sites and a multidisciplinary program mixing concerts, shows, workshops, and family activities.

2026 Season
