The multidisciplinary guinguette on the banks of the Loire
Every year from April to October, the banks of the Loire in Tours are transformed into a vast space of culture, conviviality, and celebration thanks to the Tours sur Loire festival. This multidisciplinary guinguette, supported by the association Le Petit Monde in partnership with the City of Tours, has become a must-attend event in Tours' cultural life, offering a rich and eclectic outdoor program for six months.
Tours sur Loire unfolds its offerings across five sites located along the banks of the Loire and in the city's neighborhoods:
The Tours sur Loire season is organized around themes that unfold over several weekends, mixing concerts of all genres (jazz, rock, electro, world music, French chanson), theater and dance performances, open-air cinema screenings, Loire wine tastings, culinary and creative workshops, and the famous "Sunday Boum".
A highlight of the season, the "Peuple de Loire" festival is an artistic proposal linked to the river and its ecosystem, organized around three long weekends in May, July, and September. This festival within a festival invites artists and residents to explore the relationship between the river, nature, and the city through multidisciplinary creations.
Beyond its cultural program, Tours sur Loire is a true popular gathering place. The guinguette brings together diverse audiences: families with children at the Bar à Mômes, music lovers at Le Foudre, Sunday strollers, passing visitors, and loyal residents of Tours. Access to the site is free, with most concerts and activities being free to access, in line with the popular and accessible vocation of this event.
Tours sur Loire also contributes to the animation of the city's neighborhoods through events in the "quartiers en mouvement" (Sanitas, Maryse Bastié, place de la Tranchée), bringing culture and conviviality closer to the residents.
The Guinguette de Tours sur Loire will return in Spring 2026 for a new cultural season on the banks of the Loire. The program will be announced in the spring on the official website.
Main Address: 111 rue des Tanneurs, 37000 Tours. The Guinguette is accessible by tram (Nationale stop), bus (Fil Bleu network), bicycle (Vélociti station nearby), and on foot from the city center of Tours.
The main Guinguette is open 7 days a week from May to September. Detailed hours and daily programming are available on the website laguinguette.tours.fr.
Access to the site and most concerts and activities is free. Food and drinks are available on-site.
