Since 2004, Les Moments Musicaux de Touraine (MMT) have offered music lovers in the Centre-Val de Loire region privileged access to quality chamber music. This association, entirely run by passionate volunteers, organizes a concert series each year in exceptional heritage locations, often little-known to the general public.

A Mission: Making Music Accessible to All

The founding objective of Les Moments Musicaux de Touraine is to democratize access to chamber music by offering high-level concerts in intimate and welcoming settings. By performing in churches, chapels, castles, and historic homes in Touraine, the festival allows a wide audience to discover the masterpieces of the chamber repertoire in exceptional listening conditions.

A Demanding and Varied Program

The MMT's programming covers a wide musical spectrum, from baroque to contemporary, with a preference for the great classics of chamber music—sonatas, trios, quartets, quintets. The concerts feature leading French and international performers, selected for their artistic excellence and their ability to convey musical emotion.

Promoting Young Talent

One of the unique aspects of Les Moments Musicaux de Touraine is their commitment to very young musicians. The festival regularly provides a stage for instrumentalists aged 13 to 19, primarily from the Conservatoire à rayonnement régional de Tours. These concerts allow young artists to perform in front of a supportive audience under professional conditions, marking an important step in their musical journey.

Concerts take place in venues chosen for their acoustic quality and heritage interest. Romanesque churches, Renaissance chapels, castle drawing rooms, and historic homes in the Loire Valley and its tributaries serve as settings for chamber music.
