A gathering of creators in the heart of Sens

The Blanc-Sec association, a group of about ten comic book enthusiasts, founded the festival in 2002. The event faced several interruptions, notably after 2015 due to the Vigipirate security plan, before returning in 2024. It is held under the mezzanine of the Marché Couvert, on the Place de la République, facing the Sens Cathedral.

Each edition brings together anywhere from twenty to over seventy authors—artists, writers, and colorists—for signing sessions, alongside a bookstore, second-hand dealers, and a reading area. Two awards highlight the weekend: the Cul-Sec prize, presented by the festival in three categories (Grand Cru, AOC, and Primeur), and the Adèle youth prize, voted on by young readers aged 7 to 15 in the libraries of the Grand-Sénonais area between April and September.
