Literature at the Heart of the Creuse Countryside

The Boussac Book Fair is proof that literary culture knows no geographical boundaries. Organized by the association “La Culture Sort des Champs”, this event brings together around 70 authors from all over France each year in the Salle Polyvalente in Boussac. Crime fiction, thrillers, manga, comic books, historical novels, romances, and children's literature: all genres are represented.

A Meeting Place for Book Lovers

From 10 a.m. to 6 p.m., visitors can wander among the stands, meet the authors, get books signed, and discover new talents. The fair offers a rare opportunity for direct dialogue between readers and writers, in a friendly and warm atmosphere. Illustrators and comic book authors create drawings live, much to the delight of fans.

An Event Driven by Volunteers

Around thirty volunteers mobilize each year to welcome authors and visitors in the best possible conditions. The association “La Culture Sort des Champs” works all year round to prepare this event, which contributes to the cultural animation of northern Creuse. The fair has become an anticipated event for readers throughout the department and beyond.
