Cabanes en Fête — edition 2026
The 16th edition of Cabanes en Fête will take place on Saturday, December 5, 2026, at the oyster port of Andernos-les-Bains. Oyster farmers, winemakers from the Entre-deux-Mers, and Michelin-starred chefs will gather around the cabins, which will be adorned this year in the traditional blue fisherman's smock. Approximately 25,000 visitors are expected for this gourmet and festive day.
A 16th edition themed in blue
Oyster farmers, winemakers, restaurateurs, volunteers, local officials, and town staff have chosen the color of the traditional smock that will define the 2026 edition: blue, following the orange of the previous year. The mayor of Andernos-les-Bains, Jean-Yves Rosazza, presents this 16th edition as a tribute to the oyster farmers and winemakers of the Bassin.
Throughout the day, the oyster port will host stalls from the oyster farmers of the Bassin d'Arcachon and the winemakers of the Entre-deux-Mers. Michelin-starred chefs will be cooking and serving oysters prepared in "a thousand ways," complemented by food and wine pairing workshops and an artisanal market. Around 25,000 visitors are expected.

The detailed schedule (times, stages, artists) for the 2026 edition has not yet been released by the town of Andernos-les-Bains; it is traditionally published in a brochure distributed closer to the event (the previous edition's brochure was released in November 2025). According to the official announcement on June 30, 2026, the day will feature stalls from oyster farmers of the Bassin d'Arcachon and winemakers from the Entre-deux-Mers, Michelin-starred chefs preparing and offering oyster tastings, food and wine pairing workshops, and an artisanal market.

Cabanes en Fête, the magic of December on the Bassin
Cabanes en Fête is a unique winter event that transforms the oyster port of Andernos-les-Bains into a place of gourmet and artistic festivities. Every December, the 45 oyster huts open their doors for an exceptional day.
Gastronomy and oysters
In each hut, a chef creates seafood tapas, while the oyster farmers from Andernos offer their fresh oysters accompanied by wines from Entre-deux-Mers. A unique gourmet trail along the Bassin d'Arcachon.
Art and music
Artists also take over the huts to exhibit their works and share their passion. Live music accompanies visitors throughout the day, creating a warm and festive atmosphere despite the winter season.
Fireworks
The day concludes with a fireworks display over the Bassin d'Arcachon, illuminating the huts and the waters of the Bassin in a magical atmosphere.
