Lettres du Monde — edition 2026
For its 2026 edition, running from November 12th to 22nd, the traveling festival Lettres du Monde returns to Bordeaux and the Nouvelle-Aquitaine region with the theme "Vacarme(s)" (Uproar/Din). Around fifteen international and French writers—including Andrew O'Hagan, Eduardo Halfon, and Rim Battal—have been invited to participate in readings, discussions, and literary performances held in libraries, media centers, and independent bookstores across the region.
Lettres du Monde 2026 — "Vacarme(s)"
From November 12th to 22nd, 2026, the traveling festival Lettres du Monde will take over Bordeaux and the entire Nouvelle-Aquitaine region for its 23rd edition, centered on the theme "Vacarme(s)". About fifteen international and French authors, joined by translators and publishers, are invited to reflect on, question, and tell stories about our world.
These events are organized in partnership with book and public reading professionals—including libraries, media centers, and independent bookstores—as well as schools and universities throughout the Bordeaux metropolitan area and the wider region. The day-by-day schedule is being released gradually on the association's official website; as of now, only the opening date (Bègles, November 12th) is confirmed.
