About Montagne en Scène
Montagne en Scène is a traveling mountain and adventure film festival, whose Bordeaux stop takes place at the CGR Le Français cinema, right in the center of Bordeaux (9 rue Montesquieu, 33000). Organized twice a year (a Winter Edition in autumn-winter and a Summer Edition in spring), the event offers a selection of the best documentaries dedicated to mountaineering, climbing, skiing, trail running, and outdoor sports. Montagne en Scène is the largest traveling mountain and adventure film festival: each year it gathers more than 200,000 spectators in over 250 cities across some twenty countries. In Bordeaux, screenings take place at the CGR Le Français cinema, located at 9 rue Montesquieu, in the heart of the city.
Two editions per year
The festival features two annual highlights: a Winter Edition (autumn-winter tour, from November to January) and a Summer Edition (spring tour). Each edition showcases a new selection of four films about mountaineering, climbing, skiing, or snow sports, blending sporting achievements, humor, poetry, and self-transcendence.
