Brazilian carnival in the streets of Laval
CarnaLaval is a Brazilian-inspired carnival organized in the streets of Laval by the association Top Brésil. Created in 2019 to celebrate the association's 10th anniversary, this festive and colorful event brings together hundreds of dancers, musicians, and costumed artists around decorated floats parading through the city center. With a daytime carnival and an illuminated nighttime carnival, CarnaLaval transforms Laval into a giant party open to all, mixing Brazilian percussion, Latin dances, and street entertainment in a tropical and joyful atmosphere.
Born in 2019 for the 10th anniversary of the association Top Brésil, CarnaLaval is a Brazilian-inspired carnival that enlivens the streets of Laval every year. In addition to the parade, a festive village is set up at Square de Boston, from 3 PM to 11 PM. This village offers entertainment, shows, food, and Brazilian dance introductions, allowing the public to immerse themselves in Brazilian culture throughout the afternoon and evening.

The 2026 edition of CarnaLaval is expected during the summer of 2026 in the streets of Laval. The precise dates and program will be announced by the association Top Brésil.
The parade runs through the main streets of the city center of Laval (53000), with a marked route announced before the event. The CarnaLaval Village is set up at Square de Boston, a central space that hosts entertainment, food, and shows throughout the festival.
By train: Laval SNCF station, a 10-minute walk from the city center. Laval is served by the TGV Paris-Rennes line (about 1 hour 20 minutes from Paris-Montparnasse).
By car: A81 highway (Paris-Rennes), Laval center exit. Warning: traffic changes and street closures are planned in the city center during the parades. It is recommended to use park-and-ride facilities on the outskirts of the center.
By bus: The TUL urban bus network serves the city center of Laval with numerous stops near the parade route.
The event is completely free and open to all. The parade is freely accessible along the route. The CarnaLaval Village at Square de Boston is free to enter.
It is recommended to arrive early to get a spot along the parade route. The best spots are taken quickly, especially for the illuminated nighttime carnival. Remember to bring a jacket in the evening, even in summer.
The parade route follows streets accessible to people with reduced mobility and strollers. Reserved spots are available for people with disabilities along the route.
