The Carnaval de Louverné: A Brand New Tradition

Born in 2023 on the initiative of the association Louverné Carnaval, the Carnaval de Louverné is a popular event that has quickly established itself in the town's festive calendar. In just three editions, it has become a highly anticipated event for residents and a moment of intergenerational gathering.

A Grand Costume Parade

The heart of the carnival is a grand costume parade that winds through the streets of Louverné's town center. The procession includes:

• Families and children in colorful costumes

• Schools and school groups preparing for the carnival in advance
• Floats and decorative elements made by volunteers

The Zumba Flashmob

Each edition features a Zumba flashmob that spectators and participants can join. This participatory activity, open to any volunteers who wish to join, adds a sporting and collective dimension to the carnival, getting young and old dancing in the streets of Louverné.

An Event Driven by Volunteers

The association Louverné Carnaval, created specifically to organize this event, brings together motivated volunteers who work for several months in advance to prepare the festival. From the design of the floats to the logistical organization of the parade, including communication and coordination with the town hall, every detail is considered to offer a successful and safe carnival.

A March Carnival

Scheduled every year in March, on a Sunday afternoon, the Carnaval de Louverné is part of the tradition of spring carnivals. The parade starts around 2:30 PM and follows the main streets of the town center, with temporary road closures. The festivities generally continue until late afternoon with additional activities.
