The capital's tropical parade since 2001
The Carnaval Tropical de Paris was born in 2001, driven by the Fédération du Carnaval Tropical de Paris and supported by the City of Paris. The founding idea: to offer the French capital a grand tropical parade celebrating the richness of overseas cultures and the diasporas of the Caribbean, Latin America, Africa, and the Indian Ocean. In a quarter of a century, Carnaval Tropical has become one of the major festive events of the Parisian summer, a symbol of cultural diversity and joie de vivre.

The troupes represent the carnival traditions of Guadeloupe, Martinique, Guyana, Reunion Island, Brazil, Colombia, Cape Verde, and many other countries, mixing zouk, samba, compas, salsa, gwoka, and traditional percussion.
