The setting is striking: Place Audinot, dominated by the imposing towers of the Château de Péronne — a 13th-century medieval fortress that today houses the Historial de la Grande Guerre — transforms each summer into a huge party space dedicated to electronic music. The contrast between the ancient stone and the deep bass of the DJ sets creates a unique atmosphere, between heritage and modernity, which is the entire charm of the Castle Festival.

A free and popular festival

The Castle Festival is organized by the Events and Entertainment Service of the City of Péronne and is distinguished by its complete freeness. This accessibility makes the festival a truly popular event, bringing together a large and diverse audience — families, young people, electro fans, and the curious — in a festive and relaxed atmosphere. With over 3,000 attendees in recent editions, the Castle Festival has become one of the flagship events of the summer in Santerre and Haute Somme.

An engaged electro program

The Castle Festival's program reflects the trends of the current electronic scene. The festival offers two evenings of DJ sets and live performances mixing house, techno, electro, deep house, and bass music. Since the 2026 edition, the first day is specifically dedicated to female DJs, highlighting female artists who are too often under-represented in the lineups of electronic music festivals. The second day completes the experience with a selection of acclaimed sets.

Péronne: a city of history and celebration

The Castle Festival contributes to the summer dynamism of Péronne, a town of character located on the banks of the Somme. Known for its Historial de la Grande Guerre, its medieval castle, and its ponds, Péronne offers a remarkable heritage and natural setting that enriches the festival experience. The festival is part of an ambitious summer entertainment calendar supported by the municipality, which also includes the Medieval Festival and various cultural events.
