Festival of author-songwriting in Salins-les-Bains in the Jura
Since 2009, the Chansons en Fête festival has celebrated author-songwriting in Salins-les-Bains, a UNESCO World Heritage thermal spa town in the Jura. Organized by the association L'Oreille en Fête in partnership with the town, this intimate festival offers three days of concerts and encounters around French song each May, highlighting established singer-songwriters and emerging talents.
The Chansons en Fête Festival is an annual event dedicated to author-songwriting held every May in Salins-les-Bains, a magnificent thermal spa town in the Jura whose saltworks are a UNESCO World Heritage site. Since 2009, it has provided an intimate setting for French song in all its forms.
The festival is driven by the association L'Oreille en Fête, created in 2005 with an original mission: to organize house concerts with professional singers in small rural communities in the Jura. Building on this close-to-home experience, the association naturally gave birth to the Chansons en Fête festival in 2009, in partnership with the Town of Salins-les-Bains.
Each edition brings together established singer-songwriters and emerging talents from the French song scene over three days. The festival favors a demanding and eclectic program, where each artist can fully express their universe in an intimate and welcoming setting. The 2026 edition will notably feature Davy Kilembe, Tribu Nougaro, Elsa Gelly, Loïc Lantoine, Boule, and Emma la Clown.
The festival takes advantage of the architectural heritage of Salins-les-Bains to offer concerts in historic venues. The thermal spa town, with its medieval streets, private mansions, and royal saltworks, provides a unique setting for author-songwriting.
