Char en Son is the contemporary music festival that kicks off the summer in Beaujolais, held in Dracé (Rhône). Over two evenings, the Ancien Barrage site by the Saône river hosts rock, folk, blues, and punk concerts in a friendly atmosphere, complete with food, drinks, and local brewers and winemakers.

This summer, Char en Son celebrates rock and its various subgenres—including blues, folk, and punk—on June 26th and 27th, 2026, along the banks of the Saône in Dracé. As always, local brewers and winemakers will be there to join the festivities.

Born from the energy of a local association, Char en Son has established itself over the years as a must-attend summer event in northern Beaujolais. Every year in late June, the festival takes over the Ancien Barrage site in Dracé, right on the banks of the Saône, for two evenings of concerts in a relaxed, family-friendly atmosphere.
